If the element is showing itself in the oven, then unscrewing this can resolve any problems. Not damaging your wiring is important so take extra care. Ahead of removing anything you need to be sure to create notes of how the wires are connected to the oven. Otherwise inserting your new element could prove to be problematic. In order to insert you new element, follow the above directions in reverse. 

If heat is escaping from you door, it is likely your door seal has been damaged. Universal oven door seals may fit hundreds of makes and models, but they may not fit them all be careful when purchasing.

Using the tape measure, find the distance between the fixing holes along the horizontal and vertical directions of the oven. Take away 2cm from the measurements to ensure the seal is nice and tight, before cutting up your oven seal into four parts. To ensure that they are 45 degree mitre type angles, it's crucial to square cut the ends.
